A little bit about the dish

Kuri Gohan is a dish where the marron is cooked with the rice. It is not a main dish and even though it is not very savory, the subtle flavors and the aroma of the marron make you realize that you are in Autumn. As much of the very traditional Japanese food (“Washoku”, meaning Japanese eat/food in Japanese) tends to rely less on the condiments but rather the main ingredients you are cooking with. In this sense, Kuri Gohan compliments Washoku very well. Important to note, if use have a cling roll, you can use easily take to your dinner and lunch.

List of Ingredients you will need

(Serving for 4 people)

・Marron … 10.5 ounces (300 grams)

・Cooking Sake …2 Tablespoon

Recipe

1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak the rice for some time depending on the rice (Check the instructions on the package of the rice.)
